TERRA was born from a love for Hayama.
Mount Fuji seen beyond the sea,
and Satoyama hills where TANADA (terraced rice fields) unfold.
Ten years since we made our home on this land,
and still,
we remain captivated by the landscapes of this town.
A landscape, surely, is something
nurtured over time,
as human life and nature slowly intertwine.
Here, the distance between those who visit
and Hayama gradually falls away.
The natural rhythms woven by sea and mountain,
the stories of the people whose lives take root here.
As you encounter them,
time begins to flow a little more slowly,
and your breathing settles.
We hope you will spend
such a moment here.
The Rooms
The whole 75 m² — room enough for a family to spread out — is yours to yourselves.

- Two-burner IH, refrigerator, rice cooker, combination microwave oven. A full set of cookware, and tableware for everyone.

- A front-loading washing machine. Detergent and an indoor drying rack are provided.

- Wi-Fi, TV (YouTube / Netflix, etc.), speaker. One air conditioner each in the living room and bedroom.
- Amenities
- Towels, toothbrushes, shampoo and conditioner, facial toner and moisturiser, hair dryer, and more.
Basic seasonings, including salt, pepper and cooking oil, are provided. For anything more, the supermarket and convenience store are a short walk away.

Eight minutes on foot to Isshiki Beach. On clear days, Mount Fuji rises across the water. Back in your room, enjoy freshly ground matcha and a welcome serving of Hayama ice cream.
About Your StayAround & Access
Eight minutes on foot to Isshiki Beach, one minute to the bus stop. A convenience store 30 seconds away and a local supermarket five minutes on foot keep you well supplied, and day trips are easy from here.

About Us
We are BEAT ICE, and we make ice cream from rice we grow in Hayama's TANADA (terraced rice fields). We deliver it to local school lunches and sometimes teach classes at school. This guesthouse, too, grew out of a couple's love for Hayama.

House Rules and Important Information

The guest rooms on the second floor are accessed via an external staircase rather than through the main entrance. Please note that there is no lift.

Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. Smoking is permitted outdoors, but no ashtrays are provided. Please bring a portable ashtray and take all cigarette ends with you. An additional cleaning charge will apply if evidence of indoor smoking is found.

Out of consideration for our neighbours, please refrain from loud conversations or playing music outdoors at night.

As Hayama is rich in nature, insects may occasionally enter through small gaps. Please bear this in mind if you are uncomfortable around insects.

Additional cleaning, repair or replacement charges may apply if any fixtures or furnishings are damaged, or if bedding is significantly soiled.

Sleepwear is not provided, so please bring your own.

Please use no more than one set of towels and bedding per guest.
